Suffering and Healing

People suffer in relationships. They heal too. But suffering and healing does not necessarily happen in that order. Physical abuse and marital rape are extreme forms of suffering that many people endure in their relationships. But suffering also happens when one partner is extremely selfish, narcissistic or is unaware of a partner’s emotional needs. Years of neglect and constant bickering can also result in a kind of suffering and it takes time to heal.
